    Metrics:
    • Posted on time on the first of each month (%)
    • Track voting and viewing response rate monthly.
  2. Manage an ongoing journal abstract review process and panel of volunteers that results in 3 ratings per abstract for all journals identified as significant by the committee. Each member of the committee or the Journal Review Panel will be assigned to 2 journals.
    Metrics:
    • Number of article abstracts rated each month
    • Number of tags applied to articles each month
    • Percentage of abstracts being rated 3+ times each month
    • Web site hits to journal abstracts each month
  3. By May 1, 2010, create a 12-month (July 2010 – June 2011) content schedule for E-News articles that the committee will then be responsible for executing. The schedule should include content types, suggested topics, and committee members who will be responsible for either writing or obtaining the article. When possible, the articles will be due in final form 3 months prior to publication.
    Metrics:
    • Percentage of scheduled articles delivered on-time for publication to measure completion each month
    • Web site hits to E-News to measure positive response to content schedule each month
    • Number of finalized articles that are not scheduled for publication within 30 days to measure successful building of the content repository each month
  4. By June 1, 2010, contact all other committees to identify content that they would like to contribute to E-News, and provide an updated content schedule to the office. The same schedule information should be maintained for these new articles, including a Communications Committee member responsible for obtaining the article on time.
    Metrics:
    • Completion measured by documenting responses from all committees
    • Same success metrics as the initial 12-month content schedule.
  5. During November 2010, contact all other committees to identify any additional content that they would like to contribute to E-News.
    Metrics:

The recommendations will be submitted to the board via staff, insofar as they require additional staff time, budget or involvement of other committees. Review should include:
    1. Current and potential channels (e.g., Weekly Update and E-News)
    2. Current and potential content types (e.g., Web Polls, Case Studies and Member News)
    Metrics:
    • Delivery of review document by end of month.
    • E-News metrics will imply capacity to add other channels, and web site metrics will demonstrate whether current channels are being utilized.
  7. By August 1, 2010, plan the 2011 video contest, including topic, welcome video, communication plan and timeline.
    Metrics:
    • Launch of video contest by October 1.
    • Video submissions through the contest.
  8. During September 2010, perform a review of cpnp.org for usability and for effective delivery of valuable content to the member. Attention will be paid to the Shared Resource section of cpnp.org with input from Research Committee. If any member feedback is desired, the review should include question recommendations for inclusion in the Fall Needs Assessment Survey.
    Metrics:
    • Delivery of review document by end of month.
    • Web site hits year-over-year will provide a cue regarding need for change.
