Enjoy the Fiesta!

In addition to exciting attractions including the Riverwalk and the Alamo, the 2010 CPNP Annual Meeting will take place in the midst of San Antonio’s infamous Fiesta, scheduled from April 15 through April 25, 2010. Fiesta is a celebration honoring the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto fought in 1836 with a Battle of Flowers Parade. This celebration has been expanded into 10 days of events featuring music, food, sports, fireworks, pageantry, patriotism, carnival rides, and parades.

Many Fiesta events are proudly sponsored by nonprofit organizations and offer free admission for Fiesta spectators. On the evening of April 19, one may enjoy the unique Texas Cavaliers River Parade featuring the theme “River of Dreams.” If you plan to stay after the meeting, don’t miss the Battle of Flowers Parade, which takes place on April 23. It is the largest parade in Fiesta and the second largest nationally behind the Tournament of Roses Parade. Fiesta events may begin as early as 7 a.m. and carry on well into the evening. Take advantage of this meeting’s location and celebrate Fiesta!
