Poster Information/Specifications
The 2009 CPNP Annual Meeting is pleased to announce a record-breaking 128 accepted scientific abstracts to be displayed at the 2009 CPNP Annual Meeting, April 19 and 20 in Jacksonville, Florida. Abstracts will be provided in the March 2009 Journal of Pharmacy Practice and is provided on the CPNP website.
Online Scientific Abstract Book
The poster book provides a table of contents and the abstracts in a PDF format. The CPNP Annual Meeting features two poster sessions. The book is organized by poster session and by poster category within the session. Award finalist posters are provided separately at the beginning of the book. Award recipients will be announced Tuesday, April 21, 2009 during the CPNP Annual Meeting. The abstract number coincides with the printed page number in the book. You can also search for specific abstracts (authors, topics, etc.) by using the find feature (Crtl/F).

Finalists are required to display their posters during both poster sessions to take place during the 2009 CPNP Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 19th and Monday April 20th.
Additionally, finalists for the PharmD/Resident, Post-Doctoral Fellow/Graduate Student Award, Innovative Practices, and Therapeutic Case Report Awards, will also present their abstracts as platform presentations on Monday, April 20. Finalists for the New Investigator and Original Research Awards, present their posters during the poster reception on Sunday, April 19th.
Award winners will be announced Tuesday, April 21 at 9:15 a.m., prior to the keynote address. There will be one award given in each category.

- Poster Session I set-up occurs from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Sunday, April 19, 2009:
- Poster Session I set-up occurs from 7:00-8:00 a.m.
- Poster Session I is held from 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
- Poster Session I authors must staff/man their posters from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
- Poster Session I posters must be removed at 7:00 p.m. following the manned session.

- Poster Session II set-up occurs from 7:00-8:00 a.m.
- Poster Session II is held from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Poster Session II authors must staff/man their posters from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Poster Categories
The following categories of posters will be featured at the 2009 Annual Meeting:
- Original Research
- Encore Presentation
- Work in Progress (WIP)
- Innovative Practices
- Therapeutic Case Report
Poster Grading Criteria
Each poster submission was reviewed and graded by at least 3 blind peer-reviewers according to the grading criteria set forth for all posters. These criteria were as follows: Originality/Concept, Methods or Adequacy of Justification or Documentation, Results or Adaptability to other Clinical Settings, Conclusion, Relevance and Value to Scientific Community. Submissions for the Awards were also reviewed and judged by at least 3 blind peer-reviewers according to the grading criteria set forth for all awards. Award submissions were judged after all award ancillary materials were received and the finalists’ decisions were made via a conference call of all award judges.

Authors wishing to cite their CPNP abstracts should follow the format below (from AMA 10th ed., p. 50):
