Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Compare existing data and emerging clinical trial data that focus on the efficacy, safety and tolerability of specific second-generation antipsychotics in children and adolescents with a spectrum of psychiatric disorders
  2. Evaluate the differential propensity of second-generation antipsychotics for causing metabolic adverse effects and the clinical significance of these differences
  3. Implement appropriate management strategies using second-generation antipsychotics in children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders
