CPNP Annual Meeting
Planned by a committee of active member practitioners, the CPNP Annual Meeting provides the latest, evidence-based and cutting-edge information. Through needs assessments and ongoing dialogue with members, CPNP is able to provide in-demand programming for specialists by bringing together leaders in neuropsychopharmacology to discuss principles that will help attendees optimize pharmacotherapy and outcomes in the neuropsychiatric patient.
Pharmacists, practitioners, physicians, educators, scientists, administrators, students, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals involved in the pharmaceutical care of psychiatric and/or neurological patients, benefit from their attendance at the CPNP Annual Meeting. Through this meeting, practitioners at all levels in the areas of neurology and psychiatry can grow and improve in their specialty areas. The Annual Meeting also benefits those pharmacists who play an ever-increasing role in assuring appropriate drug use, providing overall pharmacotherapy management and enhancing positive outcomes. More importantly, the Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for all attendees to interact and share experiences regarding their areas of common interest.
The CPNP Annual Meeting rotates around the country between the West, Midwest and Eastern parts of the United States and hosts 400-450 attendees. The Annual Meeting is attended by, on average, 40% of the CPNP membership.

The College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The CPNP Annual Meeting will generally provide nearly 20.0 contact hours of continuing education credit including a pre-meeting workshop. Additional ACPE hours will be available through up to five industry supported satellite symposia also offered at the Annual Meeting.

Nominations for the Saklad Memorial Award come directly from the CPNP membership.
CPNP Government Relations
Since decisions made within the legislative branches of the federal government can have a dramatic impact on healthcare and mental health services, CPNP makes the proactive representation of its members’ political interests a priority through the study and advocacy completed by the CPNP Legislative Committee and our involvement in the Healthcare Reform Stakeholders Group. Made up of national pharmacy associations, the HCR Stakeholders advocate for recognition of pharmacists as important members of the health care team helping both patients and physicians achieve the best outcomes from modern medications.
