Dr. Levin is employed by the University of Southern Nevada in Henderson, NV. Previous faculty appointments have included LECOM School of Pharmacy, Nova Southeastern University, South University, Savannah (2002-2003), the University of Florida (1999-2002) and Albany College of Pharmacy (1992-1999). He is board certified in psychiatric pharmacy and is an elected fellow in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP). He is a founding member and the first elected president of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP).Dr. Levin has lectured at Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine on various topics in psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and pharmacogenomics. He has also been a preceptor for pharmacy students and post-doctoral residents and fellows. Dr. Levin has been active in several professional pharmacy organizations and has held appointed and elected positions. He has recently completed his second 3-year term as a member of the Psychiatry Specialty Council on the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties and is completing a 5-year term with the U.S. Pharmacopeia Convention. Dr. Levin is a reviewer for various journals in both pharmacy and psychiatry, and is a member of the editorial board for Annals of Pharmacotherapy. Research interests include improving outcomes in patients with psychiatric disorders, pharmacokinetics of psychoactive agents, and pharmacogenomics in psychiatric disorders.
