Health Care Reform passage has resulted in new and exciting opportunities for pharmacists, which creates an urgency to act. A grant program for pharmacist-provided medication therapy management (MTM) was included in the healthcare bill. The inclusion of MTM as a required component of the medical home was also a key success for pharmacists.
