NAMI Hosting NAMIBikes Event in Arizona on December 10
Return to the Mental Health Clinician issue main page.
From coast-to-coast and around the globe, mental illness affects everyone. Every year, regardless of race, age, religion or economic status, mental illness impacts the lives of at least one in four adults and one in 10 children across the United States — that is nearly 60 million Americans.
NAMIBikes is a multiple-distance bicycle ride for people who want to make a difference and help people living with mental illness. Net proceeds fund innovative programs at the national, state and community level. This event hosts individuals and teams from all over the state, integrating the passion and support of the mental health community with a rewarding experience for all participants and partners.
Registration for the event is $35.00 for individual riders. All registrants will receive a NAMIBikes event t-shirt. Participants are encouraged to collect donations from family members, friends, co-workers and business associates; minimum fundraising of $300 is encouraged in order to ride in the event. Companies, organizations and families are encouraged to organize teams of riders made up of employees, organization members, relatives and friends. Our next event is in Arizona:
