College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists Membership Committee Announces "How to Increase Student Involvement in CPNP" Essay Contest Winners

The Membership Committee of CPNP is pleased to announce the winners of the “How to Increase Student Involvement in CPNP” essay contest, Theresa Gerst and Melissa Lewis.

Theresa is a resident at the University of North Carolina Health Care System and Melissa is at The University of Texas at Austin. Both residents provided the committee with ideas on how to create opportunities for students, including mentoring opportunities, a student section of the website and listserve, and development of research interests for students.

The Membership Committee is excited about all of the ideas and is looking forward to implementing them in the future. The committee was able to provide each resident with a complimentary resident/fellow registration to the upcoming Annual Meeting, Comprehensive Approaches to Improving Minds and Lives, in Jacksonville, Florida compliments of CPNP member Dean Najarian who won the a full Annual Meeting registration in late 2008 as part of the CPNP Member get a Member campaign. The Membership Committee thanks Dean for donating this registration to a member who might not otherwise be able to attend the meeting.

The committee thanks everyone for his or her involvement in the essay contest and we look forward to seeing everyone in Jacksonville!!
