CPNP Announces its Endorsement of the Sound Medication Therapy Management Programs

CPNP is pleased to announce its endorsement of the Sound Medication Therapy Management Programs, version 2.0 facilitated through the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. The purpose of this document is to help guide designers of MTM programs to identify the critical elements that support an effective, sound MTM program and allow these programs to be constructive in encouraging positive patient outcomes. This guide also can help purchasers of MTM programs evaluate programs and provide a basis for assessing programs established by Medicare Part D plan sponsors and other MTM program sponsors.
