The College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) is proud to announce the organization's recent election to membership in the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners (JCPP). JCPP was established in 1977 and serves as a forum on matters of common interest and concern to national organizations of pharmacy practitioners and invited liaison members. CPNP President Chris Thomas, PharmD, BCPP, notes that "Membership in JCPP has been a goal of CPNP's for some time. It is important for our membership and the patients we serve, to have representation within JCPP as the organization through which national pharmacy associations speak jointly on major professional, regulatory and legislative issues. We look forward to working with all JCPP partner organizations to achieve the JCPP Vision for Pharmacists’ Practice of patients achieving optimal health and medication outcomes with pharmacists as essential and accountable providers within patientā€centered, team-based healthcare."
