Program Philosophy

Scripps Mercy Hospital, recognized as one of the nation's top 100 hospitals, and is the largest of 5 acute care hospitals in the Scripps Health System. Scripps Mercy is a teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with 520-beds. Over 25 Clinical Pharmacists practice in 10 different settings in the hospital. We are also an Accredited Stroke Center. Annually we train 60 Medical Residents and 20 pharmacy students. The Psychiatry services include inpatient, critical care and ambulatory care services. Residents will also spend time in the UCSD Free Clinic. Core Rotations: Neurology, Inpatient Psychiatry, Psychiatry Liaison service and Palliative Care.
