Program Philosophy

To expand upon the knowledge gained in PGY1 year and to apply that specifically to becoming a high functioning mental health provider. Our program is designed to challenge residents while providing support, with the ultimate goal to make them an indispensable part of the healthcare team. Our residents are scoped to prescribe for a longitudinal resident clinic throughout their residency year, which is rare to programs and provides the experience of being a provider. Our program additionally focuses on a holistic approach to the management of psychiatric conditions beyond typical medication management by utilizing Cranial Electrical Stimulation (CES) and auricular acupuncture (of which the resident will be trained in use).
