The Geriatric Neuropsychiatric Community is hosting a webinar on the topic of Delirium in the Elderly. During this interactive webinar we will be focusing on DSM-5 criteria to diagnose delirium, screening tools for delirium, the presentation of delirium in older adults, the role of medications as a precipitating factor for delirium in the elderly, studies examining prophylaxis for delirium, management of delirium in the elderly, and outcomes of delirium in an older population.
Dr. Donna Lisi PharmD, BCPP, BCPS is a board-certified Psychiatric Pharmacist and Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Dr. Lisi completed a post-doctoral fellowship in geriatric pharmacy and has worked in geriatrics for over 30 years. She was a Clinical Pharmacist in Geriatrics for 7 years at the NJ VA HCS and has held faculty positions at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy. She completed the distinguished Geriatric Education Centers Faculty Development Collaborative Program. She has held office both locally and nationally and has published in both the pharmacy and medical literature. Dr. Lisi has developed the clinical practice guidelines for the management of delirium in the elderly for the Omnicare formulary.
