Target Audience

If you are a pharmacist, nurse practitioner or other healthcare professional involved in the comprehensive medication management of psychiatric and/or neurological patients, we invite you to participate in this online course.

Session Summary

This application-based case provides the opportunity to study a patient living with narcolepsy and a comorbidity. The case follows the patient through four encounters over a period of several years. An instructional webinar between encounters two and three and a final examination provide extended value for participants following completion.

You will proceed through the following steps to satisfactorily complete this course:

  • Receive a passing grade (70%).

Participants in this course must complete an examination and achieve a score of 70% or greater. Up to two exam attempts are provided to each participant. Successful completion of the course also requires the completion of a course evaluation. Upon successful completion, ACPE credit is reported immediately to CPE Monitor although transcripts can be retrieved by participants online at

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify clinical features and treatment issues as applicable to patients with narcolepsy. 
  2. Evaluate evidenced-based data regarding current and novel treatment approaches to address clinical needs of patients with narcolepsy.
  3. Apply evidence-based research findings to the clinical care of patients with narcolepsy.
  4. Tailor individualized treatment plans as a means to improve treatment outcomes for patients with narcolepsy who have at least 1 comorbidity and drug-related problems.
