Where is the 2019 CPNP Annual Meeting?

All programming for the 2019 CPNP Annual Meeting will be held at The Grand America Hotel, located at 555 S Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.

Is there a reduced lodging rate?

Rooms at The Grand America Hotel can be reserved for $214/night until March 15, 2019. After March 15, 2019, rates are subject to increase. A limited number of discounted rooms are available for a limited time for students and Government employees. Read additional lodging information.

Are there any discounts on registration?

Early registration rates are available until March 7, 2019. After March 7, prices increase from $100-$175 per person. Full registration is available to students and residents at reduced rates. See all registration pricing.

What does each registration include?

Is there a refund if I have to cancel my registration?

To receive a refund less a $75 handling fee, registrations must be canceled in writing on or before March 1, 2019 (postmark or fax date). Cancellations between March 2-18, 2019 are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations after March 18 through the 2019 Annual Meeting will be considered by the Board if requested by the registrant. Registrations are not transferable. Registration Information

A full registration includes CPNP and Industry supported programming and meal functions offered Sunday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 10. Industry-supported programming may require a separate registration through the provider. Also included is ACPE credit for each accredited session you attend (16 maximum contact hours, not counting credit you can obtain through pre-meeting workshop or industry symposia).

A one-day registration includes CPNP and Industry supported programming and meal functions offered for that day and ACPE credit for each accredited session you attend. Industry-supported programming may require a separate registration through the provider.

Are the Pre-Meeting Workshops included in the Full Registration?

No, the Pre-Meeting Workshops are not included in a full or day registration. The Pre-Meeting Workshops must be purchased separately for an additional fee.

Are meals included in the registration fee?

Full registration includes breakfast on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and a reception on Sunday evening. Industry supported programming may offer additional meals Sunday through Tuesday. One day registration includes meal functions offered for that day.

Will I receive a confirmation and receipt of my registration?

A confirmation and receipt of your registration will be sent to you via email immediately upon registering online. For registrations made with payment by check, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately upon processing. If you do not receive confirmation after 14 days, please do not hesitate to contact the CPNP office at 402-476-1677 or info@cpnp.org.

Are BCPP Recertification sessions included in registration?

Annual Meeting attendees registered for the Full meeting or for Sunday and Monday may attend the BCPP Recertification sessions. However, in order to earn BCPP Recertification credit, attendees must additionally purchase the Clinical Application Series and successfully complete an online examination.

What are industry symposia and how do I register?

Industry supported symposia are scientific programs developed for educational purposes. All symposia are in compliance with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) criteria for planning and implementation and offer up to 1.5 contact hours of ACPE credit.

Attendance at industry symposia is included in full Annual Meeting registrations as well as day registrations (symposia may be offered on the day of attendance). Room capacities at symposia are limited and entrance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Industry-supported programming may require a separate registration through the provider.

What are product theaters and how do I register?

Promotional product theaters provide time for presentation of new research findings on products, showcasing of product details, demonstrations and highlights of new products. These sessions are promotional and are not eligible for continuing education credits.

Attendance at product theaters is included in full Annual Meeting registrations as well as day registrations (product theaters offered on the day of attendance). Attendance at the product theaters is first-come, first-served and seating is limited. Registration will be required at the door with the provider for purposes of Physician Payment Sunshine Act reporting.

How many contact hours of continuing education credit are available?

The College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The 2019 Annual Meeting will provide up to 16 contact hours of knowledge- and application-based continuing education credit from CPNP approved programming. The Suicide Prevention pre-meeting workshop is provided for an additional 3.0 contact hours; the Mental Health First Aid pre-meeting workshop is provided for an additional 8.0 contact hours. Industry supported symposia offered at the Annual Meeting offer additional ACPE credit.

Is CME credit offered?

No, the 2019 Annual Meeting only offers ACPE credit.

Can students and residents attend?

Yes, we welcome students and residents! Students and residents can attend all programming but there is also dedicated programming for both audiences on Sunday, April 7.

What is BCPP Recertification programming?

Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacists (BCPP) may maintain their credentials by successfully completing 100 hours of approved recertification programming through CPNP every 7 years. Recertification assures the BPS-certified pharmacist, along with the public and the profession at large, that specialty skills and knowledge are maintained at exceptional levels and comparable to newly certified practitioners. Five hours of Recertification Programming are presented live at the CPNP Annual Meeting through the Clinical Application Series. The live programming is recorded and delivered online for those wishing to take this programming as a distance education component. Successful completion of an online examination is required. If I miss a session, can I still earn credit for it?

If you want to earn ACPE credit for sessions you can’t attend, you must purchase access to the recorded session for an additional fee. The purchase includes speaker recordings with the exception of the pre-meeting workshops, student and resident programming, and any platform, case-based and discussion sessions. ACPE credit is accessible for sessions you are unable to attend.

When will online materials be available?

Session presentations and the conference program will be available at cpnp.org/2019 one week prior to the meeting. Session Evaluations will be available April 7, 2019. Post-meeting resources will be uploaded in May 2019.

The best resource for materials is cpnp.org/2019. You can access session materials on your desktop, tablet, or mobile device! Printed documents will not be provided at the Annual Meeting.
