Eligible for Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP) Recertification Credit, these sessions provide therapeutic, evidence-based content offering practical application for those in all settings. Integrated throughout the meeting, these five hours of recertification programming cover:

  • Overcoming Barriers to Excellent Pharmacologic Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
  • Improving Medication Non-Adherence via Motivational Interviewing
  • Tardive Dyskinesia (TD): Identification and Management
  • Management of Narcolepsy
  • Medication Adherence in the Digital Age: Incorporating Technology, Shared Decision Making, and Ethical Considerations

These sessions are open to all registered Annual Meeting attendees. Those desiring Recertification credit must also purchase the Clinical Application Series to gain access to the Recertification testing center.

The Clinical Application Series is an application-based continuing pharmacy education (CPE) activity. An application-based CPE activity requires that participants apply the information learned. This is the level of learning preferred by accrediting bodies and the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). In an application-based CPE activity, the learning objectives are written at a higher level in order to assess the learners’ ability to use the information that is learned by reading relevant literature that reflects current level of practice by Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacists. The examination for this product often features case studies requiring that the participant apply the principles learned through the readings. These types of application-based questions tend to be more challenging than knowledge-based questions that merely assess recall of information.
