This course is designed for pharmacists, nurse practitioners or other health care professionals involved in the comprehensive medication management of psychiatric and/or neurological patients.
ADHD is common in both pediatric and adult patients with a high prevalence of coexisting psychiatric and medical diagnoses. Medication options for the treatment of ADHD, while effective, have the potential to exacerbate coexisting conditions. This session will provide an evidence-based look at the challenges and recommendations for optimal medication management of complex cases of ADHD.

Presentation-Specific Disclosure: My presentation will include discussion of off-label, experimental, and /or investigational use of drugs or devices: methylphenidate, lisdexamfetamine for preschool ADHD; clonidine and guanfacine for adults with ADHD, and bupropion for ADHD Brand names are utilized in this presentation due to the volume of medications and similarities between stimulant products.
