  1. Evaluate the efficacy of antidepressant therapy in mild, moderate and severe major depressive disorder.
  2. Examine the role of monotherapy , comedication or augmentation strategies in the treatment of depressive disorders.
  3. Appraise response to pharmacotherapy and adequacy of treatment in patients with depressive disorders.
  4. Contrast current controversies in the use of antidepressants in depressive disorders (e.g., use in acute bipolar depression, suicidality, efficacy).
