In cooperation with the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP), VHCF is pleased to provide access to ACCME and ACPE approved courses specific to psychiatric pharmacotherapy. Patients with mental health conditions are more commonly seen in primary care than in other health care settings and most primary care providers (PCPs: physicians, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, pharmacists) are not fully trained to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Mental health issues go undiagnosed or inadequately treated, and inappropriate psychotropic drugs may be prescribed with little follow-up. The self-study courses below offer comprehensive learning on the etiology, risk factors, pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy for individuals living with psychiatric and neurologic conditions. You can purchase individual disease state and other modules or purchase a bundled package of all 20 hours of this select programming.
