Carla Cobb, PharmD, BCPP

Carla Cobb is a psychiatric clinical pharmacist at RiverStone Health and the Montana Family Medicine Residency in Billings, Montana where she has practiced for over 18 years. She is a Clinical Professor in Pharmacy Practice at the University of Montana. Carla graduated from the University of Manitoba and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas. She completed a residency in psychiatric pharmacy at the University of Texas and San Antonio State Hospital. She is board certified in psychiatric pharmacy. She is a founding member and past-president of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) and is currently the Chair of the Government Affairs Council. She is a board member for the South Central Montana Regional Mental Health Center. She is a past board member of the CPNP Foundation and the Montana Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board for 15 years. She was a founding member of the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and is a long-time supporter of NAMI-Billings and NAMI-Montana. Her practice and research is focused on the team approach to care for people with psychiatric disorders in the primary care setting, including the role of pharmacist-provided comprehensive medication management. In 2013 she was awarded the Bowl of Hygeia for outstanding community service and in 2015 the Judith J. Saklad Memorial Award by CPNP for professional distinction and continuing dedication to the practice of psychiatric pharmacy. In 2017 she was named Pharmacist of the Year for her efforts to secure payment for patient care services provided by clinical pharmacists.
