CPNP members should take a moment to update their community preferences. Below are the initial communities, and members are encouraged to join any community that can help them in their practice settings.

General Community

The General Community houses the email list archives for the CPNP Email Discussion List. The majority of CPNP members belong to this community to monitor discussions that do not fit well within a smaller community.

Patient Care Practice Management (PCPM) Community

The Patient Care Practice Management (PCPM) Community is for any member interested in promoting patient care through practice management. There will be an emphasis on the comprehensive medication management (CMM) practice model and learning how to implement it in their practice. PC-MHI and other models more relevant to some practice settings are also addressed.

Research Community

The Research Community is for any CPNP member interested in research and collaboration. The community encourages you to connect with other researchers, and facilitates sharing research-oriented resources to help advance the science of psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy.

Residency Program Directors (RPD) Community

The Residency Program Directors (RPD) Community facilitates sharing ideas about residency programs, the structure of the programs, residency documents, and accreditation standards. Specialists who currently have a residency or are hoping to found a residency are encouraged to join the discussion.

Substance Use Disorders Strategies (SUDS) Community

The Substance Use Disorders Strategies (SUDS) Community is focused on exploring strategies to address the growing substance use problems that confront many patients psychiatric pharmacists serve. From opioids to alcohol, the challenges of use and abuse are relevant to many different patient populations.

Teaching Community

The Teaching Community facilitates the sharing of ideas and resources related to the teaching experience, both inside and outside the classroom. Rather than focusing on clinical practice, discussions will focus on the unique challenges of teaching pharmacotherapy best practices to future practitioners.
