CPNP President Deanna Kelly, PharmD, BCPP, is being awarded the Maltz Prize for Innovative and Promising Schizophrenia Research from the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. Dr. Kelly will accept the award in New York City on October 27, 2017.

CPNP members Drs. Ashley Tewksbury, Kevin Bozymski, Laura Ruekert, and Cheen Lum, PharmD, BCPP, recently published an article "Development of Collaborative Drug Therapy Management and Clinical Pharmacy Services in an Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic." This article highlights how to build an outpatient clinic outside the Veterans Affairs and the hurdles faced.

Talia Puzantian, PharmD, BCPP, contributed to an August 12, 2017 article in Managed Healthcare Executive. Talia discusses new curriculum medical schools are incorporating to educate students on pain management in response to the increasing opioid epidemic.

Megan Ehret, PharmD, MS, BCPP, has accepted a position as an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Susie Park, PharmD, BCPP, FCSHP, and her PGY-2 resident and P1 students, as well as Jack J. Chen, PharmD, FASCP, FCCP, BCPS, BCGP, APh, and Jessa Koch, PharmD, participated in the California NAMI Annual Meeting “Ask the Pharmacist” booth on August 26 in Newport Beach, CA.
