Register Now for July 11 Webinar and View Course Information

Given its popularity at CPNP 2018, the Struggles with Urine Drug Screens session will be repeated via webinar with live Q & A on Wednesday, July 11 at 6 PM Eastern. Join the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) and Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS) to learn about urine drug screens, how to interpret them, and cross reactivity of different substances. Drug screenings plays a vital role in patient care and can help pharmacists aid in diagnosis, document adherence and potentially identify diversion of a substance.

Karen Moeller, PharmD, BCPP, Clinical Associate Professor, University of Kansas School of Pharmacy, Kansas City, Kansas, will lead the July 11 webinar which is intended to enable pharmacists and healthcare professionals to:

  1. Compare and contrast the different drug screening modalities.
  2. State substances that can be tested for in a urine drug screen and other testing modalities.
  3. Identify issues with false positive and negative results in drug screens.
  4. Interpret drug screen results and determine the possible limitations including the possibility of alteration of the sample and inability to test for all illicit substances.
  5. Redesign treatment plan based on drug screen results.

This ACPE approved webinar will also be recorded and made available in CPNP University on July 24. Get a taste of what you can gain by participating by downloading the Urine Drug Screens toolkit.
