Pre-Meeting Workshop on Pharmacy Leadership to Launch at CPNP 2020

Are You Ready to Lead?

We all know that the pharmacy and health care professions are experiencing a unique period of transition. Within periods of transition sit great opportunities. Leaders will emerge to set the course for this period to develop the new health care systems that will impact our future patients and the health of our societies. Are you ready for the charge? Will you be the next leader in health care?

The Workshop

The inaugural Pharmacy Leadership Workshop, scheduled for Saturday, April 25 in Dallas, is designed to help pharmacists with the “itch to lead” to improve their leadership skills in order to take on the changing health care marketplace. Through participation in a three-phase learning activity, pharmacists will be able to:

• Assess, reflect, and understand one’s self in relation to leadership, the profession, and leading others
  
• Acquire and utilize new skills when leading transitions and change 
• Connect with likeminded colleagues, to form cohorts, and to share challenges and goals
• Plan a 3-month personal professional development agenda to continue one’s leadership growth
• Reflect and renew leadership growth

CPNP is pleased to work with the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy at CPNP 2020 to offer a Pharmacy Leadership workshop aimed at helping leaders develop new skills intended to change their behaviors to go from being a top individual contributor to a leader of people, organizations, and associations. This workshop is intended to turn the nebulous phrase of “leadership skills” to implementable actions. 

This workshop is designed around The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education’s (ACPE) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) model. As described below, self-assessments, cohort discussions, networking, and a follow-up session a few months after the training extend the value of this day long workshop well past CPNP 2020.

Registration includes access to six pre-workshop self-assessments and results, all workshop materials and sessions, a post workshop follow-up coaching session, up to 10 hours of ACPE credit, breakfast, lunch, breaks and a reception with your peers and CPNP leaders.

Registration rates are:

• Members pay $375 through 3/26/20, and then the price increases to $475.
• Non-members pay $575 through 3/26/20, and then the price increases to $675.
