CPNP Member and Past President Megan Ehret, PharmD, MS, BCPP testified before the Maryland State Senate on behalf of SB544-Pharmacists Administration of Self-Administered Medications and Maintenance Injectable Medications in early February. The bill would allow pharmacists to administer maintenance medications to patients with a valid prescription. Dr. Ehret will also be testifying in the Maryland House on HB656, the companion bill in the House this week.  

CPNP Member and Past President Deanna Kelly, PharmD, BCPP, was quoted in a Woman’s Day magazine article on the impact of hormones on the onset of mental illness.

Bethany DiPaula, PharmD, BCPP, was recognized as a 2020 ASHP Fellow.

Opal Bacon, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP, started a new job as a clinical pharmacy specialist at VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System.

Ben Chavez, PharmD, BCACP, BCPP, was promoted to clinical professor at University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy.

Marketa Marvanova, PharmD, PhD, BCGP, BCGP, BCPP, FASCP, started a new job as dean and professor at the University of Montana, Skaggs School of Pharmacy.

CPNP Purdue Chapter Presents Service Learning Poster

The students of the Purdue University CPNP collegiate chapter presented a poster, “College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists Purdue Chapter: Students Advocating for Mental Health and Safe Medication Use”, at a campus service learning summit in February.
