Membership Benefits

All CPNP Members enjoy the following membership benefits:

  • The opportunity to post and view job opportunities.

Active Members: The Active member category consists of licensed pharmacists based in the US and Internationally. In addition to the above benefits, active members can serve as elected officials of CPNP, have full voting privileges and enjoy access to all membership protected web pages. Active members may also serve as committee members or as a committee chair.

Associate Members: The Associate category consists of health care professionals licensed by their governing body who are not practicing pharmacists. This would include Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Pharmaceutical Scientists, Researchers, Physician Assistants, Therapists, Non-RPh Medical Liaisons, Substance Abuse Specialists, Mental Health Outcome Researchers and Social Workers. In addition to the above benefits, associate members have access to all protected web pages. Associate members can serve as committee members but can not vote or serve in elected positions for CPNP.

Student Members: Individuals enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy progressing toward a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Membership must be renewed annually and status verified by the school.

Resident/Fellow: Individuals participating in a post-doctoral educational experience who have an interest in psychiatric or neurologic pharmacy. Members within this category include individuals in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice/Psychopharmacology Residencies, Neurology Residencies, Pharmacy Practice with required/elective experiences in psychiatry or neurology, or Fellowships of similar areas including bench with translational research in neuro-psych applications. Membership must be renewed annually and status verified by school or employer.

Affiliate Members: The affiliate category consists of other individuals interested in supporting CPNP such as corporations, career recruitment personnel, media companies, publishers and public relation firms. Affiliate members enjoy general CPNP membership benefits but do not have access to protected pages on the website. As well, Affiliate members may not serve as elected officials or committee members nor have voting privileges.

 

Contributions or gifts to CPNP are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax purposes. Dues payments are deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense or as a miscellaneous deduction on Form 1040.
