1:15-1:30 PM: Getting the Most out of CPNP 2018

1:30-2:45 PM: Getting a Head Start as a P1-P3

After this presentation, attendees will have fundamental tips, a timeline, and answers to a few important questions students may have including the following: When do I start planning my residency search strategy? How can I set up a plan and task list to keep myself on target for success as early as a P1 student? How can I excel in the interview process? You will receive candid advice and guidance that will be directly applicable to your hunt for a postgraduate residency or fellowship.

3:00-3:30 PM: Pharmacy Practice Specialty Showcase

This showcase will provide the opportunity for students to learn about career opportunities in psychiatric pharmacy. The showcase will feature three practitioners presenting brief presentations on the specialty areas of pharmaceutical industry, substance use disorders, and academia.

3:30-4:45 PM: Specialty Roundtable Discussions

To help further expand student knowledge of practice areas in psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy, a variety of experts from pharmaceutical industry, substance use disorders, and academia will engage in small group discussions on what it is like to work in the specialty areas featured in the earlier showcase presentations.

Residency Program Director Pearls (Tuesday, April 24)

A pearls session with Residency Program Directors will be offered on Tuesday, 4/24. Three Residency Program Directors will participate in a panel with focus on how to stand out as a candidate and what life is like as a resident. Plenty of time will be dedicated to Q&A, so students should come prepared with questions.
